“Habibi Baba Boom” is a culture-clash dramedy about family, heritage, contradictions – and a whole lot of heart.
At the center of the story is Sami Al Naggar, a young man with Egyptian roots who lives between two worlds: tradition and modernity, migration and belonging, family expectations and personal freedom. When his father suddenly passes away, Sami is forced to take on responsibility – for the family, the business, and all the cultural expectations that come with it. Yet, he is just beginning to find his own path in life.

The series combines humorous, emotional, and socially critical elements, portraying the lives of young people with a migration background in Germany – without relying on clichés, but with a good dose of self-irony.
